don't really seem to mix.. haha. I was planning on giving everyone beautiful photos from my trip to France today, however I went to the wrong bus station this morning and missed the ONE bus they offer to Biarritz. Instead we went to San Sebastian and it was wonderful ,however I have taken a photo of almost every part of San Sebastian that is possible, and therefore there was nothing to show you. :( However, Good News is that we know the CORRECT bus station now (hopefully) and will be going instead tomorrow. I think it makes for a fantastic weekend! Grey's Anatomy cryfest Friday night, San Sebastian Saturday, and France on Sunday! I'll take it I guess ;)
Let me tell you a story- Today on the bus I realized exactly why Europeans get a disgusting taste in their mouth when they think of Americans. While on the bus to San Sebastian, I heard this girl talking to another girl. She was saying she was from New York and lived about 3 hours outside of the city. The other girl, (not sure where she was from, but she was definitely from Europe) asked the American girl about 9-11. Her answer ( I kid you not) "Well, like, it didn't really affect me. I mean, like I didn't have any family or friends there, so I don't know. I mean, I guess it was a big deal, but it didn't really affect me. I guess it like brought our country closer together and stuff, but I mean, I don't know."
After this, I kinda had to stop listening because it made me so angry! How could you say that something that historical, that TRAGIC, that TERRIBLE didn't affect you because you didn't know anyone in it? NEITHER did I dumb girl, but if something that huge didn't affect you, then you need to go get a heart transplant because something is terribly wrong with yours! I can no longer blame Europeans for thinking ill of many Americans. This is not the only case of stupidity I have witnessed, but it is by far one of the worst.Anyways, just had to rant. Hope all is going well! I will close with a couple of random pics!
This is probably one of my Favorite photos! It represents all that I love to do, dance, sing, and spend time with my friends!
This week I've had a hot date.............
with International Advertising. Boy, he is interesting, but kinda boring at the same time. We get along well, except he makes me stay up much much later than I'd like (seeing as I'm still sick) and he's kinda high maintenance. He always has something that I HAVE to do.. haha I don't think our love affair will last, however seeing as after Friday, he's finished.
That's pretty much all that's going on. I'm looking up some trips to take, and trying to see when I can take them. I know I'm here for school, but I may have to skip some classes to do everything I want to do. .. We shall see.
I went and got some medicine for my cold, so hopefully it will work! I'm so over being sick. The sun started to show up again, so I may try and go take advantage of the beach ONE LAST TIME before it's officially fall.. We shall see what happens.
Tis' all i have for now.. I must get back to my passionate and wild foreign love affair :)
The good news: I can't be homesick for Seattle, because the weather here is just as flippin' moody as it is in Seattle.
The bad news: How can I go do fun, new, and excitingly crazy things ... IN THE RAIN?
( I know, I know, who the heck am I kidding? I can do crazy things no matter what the weather is like. It's just not as fun.)
Anyways, not much going on. I just wanted to be a complaining ninny for the moment.- Moment has passed I will once again go on being absolutely amazing ;)
Plan for the night: 1.Going away dinner for a friend. 2.ERASMUS/EXCHANGE party at La Facultad 3. Dance all night at Marengo with my FREE entry .
(Yeah- I'm just that cool that I get my friends free entry into clubs.. ) haha- they must've thought I was someone else!
I miss you bunches! Please stop crying over my disappearance. It's been a month now, and you WILL be ok eventually! Just get up off of that bed, clean up all those tissues, get your stinky butt a shower, and go have fun! Act like I'm still there, and do something crazy in my place :) You can do it, I have FAITH ....
Until Tomorrow! XOXOXO
that just because I'm in another country, it doesn't mean I'm immune to getting sick. I have what we have decided to call the Erasmus cold. Basically, everyone has it. Don't worry- it's nothing major, but still it sucks. Who wants to be sick in Spain?
Other than that things are going well. I added a two-week intensive international advertising course to my schedule, and it is keeping me busy! It should be a lot of fun. I like it so far :)
Barcelona v. Milan tonight. Go Barcelona!
... to see Brad Pitt! haha..
Ok- so maybe not. However, there is a film festival in San Sebastian this week and I will be going. Apparently Saturday at 7pm Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino are making an appearance. Not gonna lie, I'm gonna be a stalker.. haha
What can I say? Spain = amazing :)
That's all for now.. but you can all most certainly be jealous!
Since I'm in Spain, I'm going to try and take complete advantage of it and do everything I possibly can. Here are some random ideas:
*Southern Coast of Spain
*Olite ( a castle near Pamplona)
*Italy
*Portugal
*Biarritz, France
*London
These aren't things that are for sure going to happen, but I would like them to :) We'll see. All I know is that I'm going to kick myself if after I leave here, I feel as though I didn't do everything that I possibly could have.
Hey guys! So sorry I haven't been keeping up with this blog! Things here are crazy :)
I've been super busy with classes, hanging out, and attempting to be frugal at the same time.. haha I cut down my expenses by not doing anything.. haha Just Kidding, I do plenty :)
Here's the recap on my week.MONDAY:
This last weekend was terribly terribly exhausting. So on Monday I decided to have a nice, quiet evening in. Tell me, do you think that was possible? Absolutely Not! Instead I flooded my kitchen. bahaha... Pool Party in the Kitchen! No- but seriously, not fun.
Not sure if you can see it very well, but it was probably 2 or 3 inches deep in some areas. Ay Mios Dios!Tuesday:I didn't do much on Tuesday. I hung out with some friends and we went out for MEXICAN FOOD! I love it. It was soooo tasty :) But that was pretty much it for Tuesday
Wednesday:
MONTECARLO NIGHT! My friend and I decided rather than putting on any run-of-the-mill fancy dress.. we were going to make ours! We made dresses out of a bedsheet and drew card design on them.. They actually turned out very cute! We got to the club, and it was still pretty empty, however once it filled up we started dancing and stuff.. and then we got asked if we wanted to go into the VIP room.. so we and 2 friends got to go into the VIP room. It was hilarious because the room was full of random guys, and very few girls.. haha It was quite the adventure... We left the disco around 7 am and when I got to my friend's house, I realized I didn't have my keys! I had left them at home! I didn't wanna wake my roommates up so I crashed at my friend's place. After putting our pajamas on, we decided we were all hungry, so we went down to the bakery that had just opened, and bought goodies :) haha.. We looked like a total bunch of idiots.. but we had fun!
THURSDAY:
Thursday we had a biker babes/Rockstar themed party. I have pics of my costume, but they aren't up yet. So I will put them up when I get the chance. It was actually a very chill night. We danced, hung out with some friends, etc. It was one of my earliest nights out since I came to Spain. I was home by 3:30 am! haha.. In Spain, that's way early!
Hope you guys like this! I'll try to be better about updating! MISS YOU! xoxoxo

There you are folks. My life this past weekend. It will explain why I have been absent :( hahaha.. Being Spanish is exhausting!
On the plus side, i have gotten my classes figured out, I think... I will be taking:
Applied Economics
Spanish Art
Great Figures in Hispanic Literature
Fundamentals of Anthropology
International Economics
Love you all and Miss you :)
P.S. There will be more videos soon, but I can't seem to get them to work :(
I don't have the time or much energy to fill you in on everything. However, I will leave you with this video to show you what is to come ;)
Went out again last night. I love it here. The system is so different!
We went out to dinner at nine, and then at around ten thirty we went to a friends apartment to warm up.. That only lasted til around 12:30, cuz we pissed off her grumpy old neighbor. In Seattle, what would we have done? Disbanded the party and go to a bar where we have to pay for drinks. In Spain, we load up all the beverages and head to the nearest park! haha.. Believe me, we were not the only ones with that idea! It was packed. We hung out at the park until around 3, then when everyone else went home, we went to the disco. Apparently, they don't close til between 5 and 7 here! I love it!
Dance party til 5 am! Funny thing is, they play mostly american music. People sing along, but they don't understand what a lot of it means.. too funny.
Here are a couple pics.. rest are on f-book and myspace :)

P.S. Funny Story-
When we went to the park, I had to use the restroom. There was this high-tech, modern toilet kinda like the one in Seattle down on the waterfront next to Pike Place Market. After the person in front of me came out, I went in. As soon as I shut the door, the toilet seat automatically started lifting itself up. I thought to myself, "Hey! I need that!" Next thing I knew, as I was unbuttoning my pants, the toilet started swishing water, and water started to spill out onto the floor from every which direction! I raced to button up my pants as i ran for the door. It wouldn't open until I pushed a button! In the meanwhile, all my friends hear is me screaming! hahaha.. they kept yelling, asking what was up. Then i manage to open the door, and they see water running all over the place. I thought I had broken the pipes or something! Then we decided to look at the directions.. turns out the bathroom cleans itself after every use. You're not supposed to go in right after another person, you are supposed to wait. Guess that's what I get for being an impatient american! haha It was really quite hilarious
I will never again complain about how UW does it's registration. Compared to what I am now dealing with, that is the best possible way to do it!
Today was the first day of classes. As of 5 pm today, a class schedule had not yet been finalized and sent to us. I showed up at the university at 9 am, spent 3 hours looking at a freaking schedule, and then went home.
Apparently, the first week and a half is for you to go to different classes, try them and see if you like them. So for the next week I will wander aimlessly to classrooms, and attempt to understand if it's anything I might even remotely need to take for my major. Oh joy.. It's completely disorganized, but I guess that's part of the experience.
I think I'm going to try and take a Sports Marketing Class, a History of Spanish Culture Class, Spanish Conversation Class, and a Major Figures in Spanish Literature Class. I think these might be the only ones that I can take that might count as credit for me. hahaha I will just have to bulk up on classes when I return in order to graduate on time. Guess I really am getting a taste of the Spanish culture! Always late for everything!
I will let you know once it has all worked itself out. :)
P.S. I'm not worried, so you shouldn't be either
